The Assured Family Foundation is committed to supporting families in Calgary facing financial hardship by providing reliable access to monthly groceries, which include fresh produce, and hygiene products. Our mission is to foster food security and promote hope and dignity among those facing financial instability and integration challenges, ensuring no family goes hungry.

Our organization runs a dedicated grocery delivery service for families in need, providing essential food items first Saturday of each month. The process begins by working closely with each family to understand their specific needs, ensuring that the grocery lists are personalized and tailored to their unique circumstances. These lists are updated monthly based on feedback and requests from the families onboard.

Once the groceries are collected, volunteers organize and package them for delivery. Our team ensures timely and efficient distribution of the packages to each family, ensuring they receive their groceries in a respectful manner and full confidentiality. By contacting in person and listening to the families' needs, we strive to provide meaningful assistance that alleviates their issues and brings a sense of fulfillment and security to those we serve.

Beneficiary Identification

We have a rigorous process for identifying beneficiaries and ensuring that funds are allocated appropriately. The process is as follows:

1) In-person visits and interviews where we aim to gather information about the recipient, their family and dependents

2) Completion of a scored questionnaire that encompasses their basic information, challenges, kind of supports required

3) The board reviews the interviewer’s comments results and questionnaire.

4) Families who meet the criteria are added to the Support Recipient list.

5) Ongoing check-ins and updates to ensure beneficiary eligibility.

Community Events and Fundraising

AFF actively seeks opportunities to host and participate in awareness events across Calgary to promote its mission and cause. Fundraising efforts are driven by direct outreach to our donors. Additionally, AFF hosts Volunteer Appreciation events to recognize and celebrate the dedication and hard work of our volunteer teams.
